Growing up in Seattle, Dr. Barrett discovered her fascination with dentistry at a young age—a passion that eventually led her to become an orthodontist dedicated to transforming smiles.
Her childhood dreams of sunny weather and dental excellence came true when she moved to California to open her own practice, where she wants patients to feel like family, not numbers.
Educational Excellence & Professional Achievements
Dr. Barrett’s academic journey began at the University of Washington, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology in 2001.
She continued her dental education at the University of Louisville, completing her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2005. During this time, she served as Chair of the Council of Students within the American Dental Education Association, showcasing her leadership and dedication to the field.
Her passion for orthodontics led her to the University of Michigan, where she completed a three-year post-graduate program specializing in orthodontics. She also earned a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics from the Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies. Her graduate research was recognized and published in the prestigious American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in 2010.
